Protected Historical Site

The Albalat Archaeological Site is a protected historical site, so access is regulated. This is done to preserve the heritage and ensure the safety of visitors and the site itself. Access is only possible with a pre-arranged guided tour. Individual access without prior booking is not permitted. The number of places is limited to guarantee the conservation of the site.

The hammam of Albalat, a typical Andalusian public bathhouse, was a key element in the life of this small frontier town.

How to get there

By car

From Cáceres via the EX-108 to Jaraíz de la Vera, then along the EX-386 towards Romangordo. The site is 2 km from the village, with parking available.

By public transport

Bus to Romangordo from Plasencia or Cáceres. From the village, a transfer service is available for groups.
